Not much blogging going on here. I been crafting up a storm but unable to post what I have been making. I have put an application in to go on a DT and I have been put on the 'short list' - and I am very excited. Anyway cross your fingers for me.

I made this wooden purse for my little buddie Tanja for her birthday. I am really happy with how it turned out. The Antique style of this project was inspired by Kirsten Aune whose blogg I lurked out. Kirsten does the most amazing work.

I picked up the wooden purse from Spotlight. Chippies from Scrap FX (I think). Paper, Ink & Glitter from Stampin Up. Paint from MM.

I got the girl image from a children's website which have printable colouring-in pages. I printed the image onto SU Whisper White and then coloured in the image using ink, water and a paint brush. Distressed, stained and hand sewed the background paper along with lace.

The next image is from a photo swap that was organised over at Scrapbook Capital. Using Bazzill I stamped (Autumn Leaves) flourishes all over the page then clear embossed the images.

Made tag, added photo and then added metal embellishments. The quote at the bottom says "There is no gift greater, than the gift of a child".

Bye for now.

A funny thing happened yesterday...

I bought the boys a packet of disposable drinking straws from our local supermarket. With each packet of straws a free bendy straw was included. I did not take much notice to this free straw at time of purchase... Have a look and see what you think!!!!

I rang the store and suggested maybe they should remove these straws. But the important thing is, it did put a big smile on my face.

I have finally succumb to the calling in my head to set up my own blog. So here I am jumping on the bandwagon.
For a few years now I have been a keen scrapbooker but of recent times I have discovered gift boxes. I love all aspects of this craft. Designing the boxes, working out the measurements, cutting out and finally the embellishing of these boxes. In my blog I will include the pattern for anyone who would like to have a go at making their own.
Cheers
